Pushing the boat out for HBO! Performing to launch ‘The Pacific’ DVD, we were thrilled to be joined by the lead actors of the series so when the Captain called ‘Anchors Aweigh’ – we sailed into “Beyond The Sea”!
How exciting to have been asked to perform for the DVD London Press Day for the launch of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks’ ‘The Pacific’!! They couldn’t have chosen a more suitable venue – HMS Belfast (C35)! Our mission was to entertain the guests in between press conferences and add to the very evident war-time theme by singing our 1940’s Andrew Sisters’ Feature set. With our military outfits, we fitted right in and together with girls serving trays of Coca Cola and Lucky Strike chocolate cigarettes, everybody was in the Swing of things! Even the food was 1940’s themed as was the short set performed by the Platinum harmony group ‘The Overtones’ There were jitterbug dancers and ‘U.S Marine’ actors on deck playing hoopla and cards and with only a few of the guests three sheets to the wind, it was plain sailing in a shipshape and Bristol fashion!

“You three have got such a great sound…”
